but what if its your week...that seems too greedy.. but ya it happens and its happened to me...
exactly one week ago on 10th march at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.. i was sitting on my chair in the LPG plant in the heat of Rajasthan with only one way to get out of there....my XLRI result..if i get through it then only i would be able to get out of this mess.....and after one week on 17th march ...at 2:15 p.m. i am left with no option as either way i am going to leave this place in 2-3 months..whether i get through XLRI or not...
10th march , 2:00 p.m., i got a call from my boss that i need to go to Jaipur to be a part of organizing committee of some function hosted by petroleum minister Murli Deora where Rajasthan Chief Minister was chief guest...
there i met my G.M. of northern region and had few words with him...
now let me take u one year back...its 15th march 2009...
Boss-"what do you think that if u will tell the G.M. that u are not satisfied with ur job(operations) and this place then he will call me and tell me to get u transferred to delhi and in sales.
its 17th march 2010
Boss-"G.M. called and he wants u to move to sales and also to get u transferred to some other place in north which is not yet confirmed"
now u get the title of the blog.. isn't it?
so it was just one adventurous week in which i met Murli Deora and Milind Deora to Ashok Gehlot(C.M. Rajasthan) and traveled the length and breadth of Rajasthan with a Honda City allotted to me...was treated like a VIP...attended a press conference of chief minister and petroleum minister...had dinner at chief minister home with my G.M., executive director and director....and at the end had my name listed in the transfer and sales list.
it was just a matter of one week..........
awesome..congrats!!....somehow wen u told me this on phone it dint sound so exciting.......but wen i read, it seems to be so much interesting...press con et al :)
ReplyDeleteMay ur goodluck continue and u land up in XL!
Amen...
the expression on ur boss's face must be awesome.....would like to freeze that expression and make it permanent :)
